The purpose of the present invention is to provide factor analysis based on a large amount of time-series data, with minimal expansion of main memory, which would have led to an increase in cost, and minimal deterioration in analytical precision. The truncated data generation means extracts from each region one or more segments generated by dividing that region into smaller temporal ranges and combines segments in temporal order to generate a predetermined number of sets of truncated time-series data. The factor extrapolation means extrapolates the generation source that contributes to the difference in characteristics in each set of truncated time-series data and outputs those generation sources as individual extrapolation results. The integration/determination means obtains an integrated extrapolation result wherein the predetermined number of individual extrapolation results are integrated.
