The invention relates to a hot air fryer comprising a main body, a bowl (2) removable from the main body and a basket (1) removable from the bowl. The fryer comprises a handling system (3) which comprises configuration change means making it possible either to simultaneously handle the tank incorporating the basket, or to handle the basket alone, released and released from the tank, or to handle the tank alone, released and released from the basket, so as to allow a first mode of cooking food in the basket incorporated in the tank and a second mode of cooking food directly in the tank, the basket being extracted therefrom.
