Tension adjustment system for remote adjustment of a tension in a distribution cable ensuring movement of a distribution trolley (1) along a crane jib, comprising: - a winch equipped with a motor cooperating with the cable to ensure movement of the carriage; - a control unit connected to the motor to control a movement of the carriage; - a mechanical adjustment device (2) mounted on the carriage and which can be actuated under the action of a movement of the carriage, this mechanical device being coupled to the cable and configurable between: - a working configuration in which the mechanical device is fixed regardless of the movement of the carriage and provides tension maintenance in the cable; and a relaxation configuration in which, under the action of a movement of the carriage driven by the control unit according to a first reciprocating movement sequence, the mechanical device provides a release of the tension in the cable.
