Detecting error injection attacks in integrated circuits

A system having an error injection attack detection function includes a circuit block, at least one independent power grid, a detector connected to at least one independent power grid to detect a change in power characteristics of the independent power grid, and connected to at least one independent power grid. It includes a sensor positioned on the active layer of the chip along with the circuit block. The sensor responds to at least one type of error injection attack. In some cases, the sensor may be an inverter.
