Electric and magnetic jewellery.-Finger-rings, bangles, bracelets, armlets, anklets, and like articles for personal wear, are provided with a galvanic or magnetic lining comprising metallic rings, strips, plates, or other elements, for treating rheumatism &c. In the signet ring shown in Fig. 2, the body part a is made of gold, silver, or other precious metal, and is provided with an annular recess a' for a galvanic lining b consisting of a series of slightly separated but connected rings of silver and zinc, or other elements forming a galvanic couple. The interstices between the elements allow of access of moisture from the finger. In the ring shown in Fig. 9, a magnetic lining b consisting of a horse-shoe or circular, permanent, preferably tungsten-steel, magnet is provided, the poles b1, b2 being connected by jewellers' solder &c.
