Phonographs &c.-A flexible composition to be employed in the manufacture of phonographic and like records is obtained by the mixture of a mucilaginous substance with a fatty acid or with the salt of a fatty acid, or with any other oily substance capable of softening the composition. The second substance is dissolved with the mucilaginous substance in a common solvent or emulsified with it. Nitro-cellulose or acetylcellulose may replace the mucilaginous substance.
