Buckets and pails.-The hinged cover b, Fig. 2, of a refuse bucket a has a downwardly-extending cheek c at each side ; when the bucket is tilted in order to empty its contents, the cheeks c prevent the dust from escaping at the sides. In another arrangement, the cover b, Fig. 5, is furnished at its front ends with downwardly-bent hooks e which are engaged by the handle f of the bucket, thus preventing the cover from accidentally opening.
