4386. Hoshor, J. C. Feb. 22. Conveyers.-Consists chiefly of means for driving endless-chain conveyers and the like, more particularly bucket conveyers. Each conveyer chain is driven by a sprocket-wheel 12, under which it is guided by a part 3a of the guide track concentric with the sprocket-wheel. The chain is thus maintained in correct relation to the sprocketwheel. The section 3a of the track is yieldingly mounted on spring-supported pillars 6. The teeth of the sprocket-wheel are formed, to one side of their radial centre lines, with recesses 11a by which they engage the studs 10 of the chain, thus not only driving the chain, but also holding it down on the rail 3a.
