1733. Harcourt, C. J. Jan. 28. Making axle,frame, and like pulleys.-Relates to pulleys in which screw - threaded spindles are reciprocated. The frame consists of side-plates a, Fig. 3, and distance-pieces b, c, stamped from sheet steel or other metal, the end-pieces b each having an aperture to receive a peg d formed integrally with and projecting from a supporting-bracket e. A cord guide i, Fig. 1, may be mounted on the lower distance-piece c. The pulley consists of a brass sheave f, Figs. 3 and 5, cast round a cast-iron internally-screwed boss g in gear with a screwed spindle h. The boss g projects through the plates a, forming bearings for the pulley.
