12,782. Friedrich, J. June 20. Fish tanks.-Relates to apparatus for aerating the water in fish tanks and the like. Fig. 1 shows an apparatus for transporting fish in which the aeration of the water is automatic. It consists of a receptacle 1 having a projection 2 at the bottom, so that the vessel rocks about during transport and thereby actuates the pumps 3 through the rods 7, 5, 4. Water is thus forced through the pipes 8 and sprayers 9 into a receptacle 10 containing a filter 11 and a number of porous surfaces 13, where it is purified and aerated before passing back to the receptacle 1. In another form of apparatus, the pump is worked by hand.
