Motor road vehicles.-In electric motor road vehicles, the motor is pivoted to a clamp 5, fixed to the part of the vehicle spring which is attached to the axle, one or two extra laminae being provided in the spring to carry the weight of the motor. The motor is free to swing longitudinally, and its distance from the axle is kept constant by a forked stay 12 as shown, adjustably attached to a fork 10 by a turnbuckle 8 or the like, both forks having bearings for the motor and wheel axles. Sprocket wheel and chain or othersuitable transmission means may be employed, and change-speed gearing may be fitted to the motor.
