Medicinal preparations.-Catechu-tannic acid is prepared by heating catechine or catechu, mixed with a resinous mass such as colophony, mastic, pix burgundica, or the like, with or without the addition of stearin, paraffin, wax, gutta-percha, or the like. The product is suitable for use as a chewing-preparation.
