28,387. Mansfield, A. Dec. 12. Gas-holders.-A gas-holder A has a water container at the top for weighting the bell after gas has been admitted at low pressure. A valve D, actuated by a chain and pulley G and bevelgearing E, or otherwise, is provided for running off the water from the container through a pipe B. This pipe communicates with a curb C, which may be telescopic for adjusting the maximum height of water in the container, and may terminate above the bottom of the tank for relieving excess pressure.
