2835. Jackson, W. Sept. 8, 1908. Drying tea &c.-A feeding - hopper for delivering tea-leaf &c. to a hot - air drying-chamber, such as that described in Specification 27,911/07, is divided by a valve E into spaces, the lower of which is closed at the bottom by a feeding web C. The valve is turned at intervals by a handle e2 so t h a the material is delivered to the lower space. Feeding is regulated by means of a device C2 which may be of the kind described in Specification 3129/06. An inspection opening d with a cover is provided in the front of the hopper. The material, after drying, may be discharged by a screw conveyer to an elevator.
