10,144. Thompson, J. F. April 26. Countersunk tips.-A heel protector comprises a countersunk metal tip A at the back of the heel connected to metal breast tips B by one or two metal arms C. The space between the tips is filled by inexpensive material, and a top lift may be fixed to the other side of the protector. Spikes may be provided on the arms to engage the filling and the top lift. The arms can be bent to fit the heel. The breast tips may be formed in one piece extending across the heel. Holes F, F1, G are formed in the arm for the passage of the rivets securing the filling and the protector to the heel.
