25,061. Reggiori, B. Nov. 3. Contents, delivering. -In a container adapted to deliver toothpicks singly, the toothpicks are held between concentric drums 1, 2, the inner drum being actuated by a spiral spring 12 and having ribs 13 for dividing the toothpicks into groups of equal numbers, and the outer drum having stops 14 against which the toothpick to be delivered is pressed. A rod 4, passing through a tube 3 in the inner drum, has a U-shaped lower part, the end of which is normally held in a raised position against the lower stop 14 by a spring 7. On depression of the rod, the inner drum rotates to move the next toothpick against the stops 14 and opposite an aperture 17 in the lid 5, through which the toothpick is delivered on the return of the rod. The rotation of the drum is limited by means of a rib 15 adapted to engage the stops 14.
