Bunions, treatment of.-An appliance for treating bunions &c. comprises a resilient rubber or like tube d encircling the great toe, an extension c lying along the outside of the toe, and a metal stiffening- plate a, perforated at b, embedded in the material of the tube and extension. The stiffening-plate may be formed of aluminium, steel, or duralumin. The tube, where it lies between the toes, is provided with ears e, and the cross-section of the portion between the ears tapers inwardly. A band g serves to hold the appliance in place.
