Cans and vessels, cleaning and disinfecting.-An apparatus for steaming milk cans or other vessels comprises a casing d divided along its longitudinal axis into two halves which are provided with sleeves c working on guides c. Levers h, i, geared together by the sectors m, are operated by a handle n and connected to t h e sleeves c by pins and slots i, k, thus serving to move the halves of the casing together or apart to close or open the casing. In modifications, racks and gear wheels, or cylinders and pistons may be employed to give the required movements to the halves of the casing.
