Lay-figure stands.-In display busts for blouses &c., the upper and lower parts A, E separable about the waist line are so mounted that they tend to close towards one another automatically and grip the garment or the part t h e r e o f placed between them. In Fig. 3, the hip or waist portion E is shown carried by wires or rods F supported by springs H on pins G of the fixed disk D. In a modification, the upper part or bust portion has a boss secured to the upright supporting-stand, and spring arms attached to the boss carry the lower or waist portion. It is also stated that the waist portion may be a suitablyshaped coiled spring member.
