The stand is not divided horizontally but is divided into four vertical segments c united by a pin f1 in a countersunk socket f which engages holes e1 in a bar e attached to the adjacent segment, or a thumb-screw may be used to clamp a plain or slotted plate. Wires j may pass through blocks j1 on adjacent segments to limit their displacement. A strap g may be used at the waist and an elastic band h at the neck, which is formed with turned-in flanges to engage a cap or a pedestal stand.
