Packeting by wrapping-up. - The mouths of paper bags are closed, and the final folders caused to descend to f o r m an indentation, while the bag remains in one position. Opposite sides of the bag 3 in the holder 1 are turned down in succession by fingers 4, 23. These fingers are moved forward by arms 5, 24 and oscillated, during folding, by the rods 7, 30. The two opposite remaining s i d e s are simultaneously turned in and then pressed down by the arms 31, which have end palms slightly less in area than the top of the packet. The finger 4 carries two projections which keeps the last two flaps clear for the proper action of the finger 23.
