摘要
11,229. Redfern, T. C. Aug. 3. Compound fabrics.-Shoe soles are made from mixtures containing fibrous materials and adapted to be vulcanized, as described in Specifications 22266/12, [Class 17 (ii), Boots and shoes, Construction of], 5083/13, [Class 70, India-rubber &c.], and 5084/13, [Class 87 (ii), Moulding plastic &c. substances], several layers of material, in which the fibres lie substantially in the same direction, being superposed so that the fibres in some layers cross those in other layers. From these layers the soles are cut, a canvas insertion is placed near the upper surface of each, and they are then vulcanized. Preferably each sole is built up of five layers of material with the fibres crossing in alternate layers, and the insertion is located beneath the top layer and in such a manner that it does not extend to the edge round the forepart.
