Overhead sewing- machines.-In a machine of the kind used for sewing gloves and fur, the looper bar F is secured against endlong movement in a carrier G which is supported by links N, N1 pivoted on opposite sides of the carrier, so that it has to and fro and up and down movements in a single vertical plane. These movements are derived from an eccentric T on the shaft C, a strap S, connecting-rod P, and extension O of the link N1. The looper-bar receives oscillatory movements about its own axis from an arm J carrying a roller K which engages a cam-groove L in a disk M secured to the shaft C.
