Impulse and reaction meters.-Fluid-measuring apparatus having a rotary measuring-vessel, for instance of the kind described in Specification 4052/15, is provided with improved locking- mechanism in order to permit the use of a relatively small electro-magnet. The locking-pawl 3 is moved clear of the projection 4 by a lever 7, which is normally held raised by the armature 10 of a magnet 11. The lever 7 is reset by a pin 14 on the rotary measuring-vessel. Springs are fitted to the pawl 3, lever 7, and armature 10. In place of the projections 4 on the measuring-vessels, a locking-disk with notches as described in the above-mentioned Specification may be provided.
