Board games.-A game imitating trench warfare is played on a board marked as shown at d, d' to represent trenches and provided with holes to receive pieces c, c1 representing soldiers. Tanks l, l1 also are used and the board is marked with machine gun emplacements k, k1. Marginal recesses B, B1-G, G1 are provided in which dice are thrown to indicate various forms of attack and defence. Three sets of dice j, i, h are used, to show respectively the section of the board on which the action occurs, the nature of the casualties, and the number of men affected.
