Continuous-discharge apparatus with stationary containers.-Apparatus for concentrating butter-milk consists of a steam-jacketed cylinder 14 provided with a rotary beater 18, whereby the butter-milk entering by a pipe 15 is caused to flow spirally upwards in a layer of diminishing thickness. The beater 18 consists of end castings 19, 20 carried by a shaft 21, together with bars 26 secured to the end castings, and, if desired, a number of ring- shaped disks 27.
