Kinematograph apparatus.-In kinematograph apparatus adapted to display picture-sequences comprising more than one film-set, delay due to the insertion of new sets, is avoided by the provision of two projectors having a common lantern and driving-mechanism so connected that movement of the lantern from one projector to the other transfers the driving-mechanism also. Mounted to slide between brackets q are rods p carrying a base-plate o supporting a standard r provided with bearings for a driving-shaft s from which are driven respectively by sprocket and chain gearing wand skew gearing 10, 11, 12, two shafts x, 8 carried by the standard r. Carried by the shaft x are clutch parts y, z adapted to drive shafts f, g of the projectors a, b, and similar members 9 are provided on the shaft 8 to engage other shafts h, j of the projectors. Masking shutters for the projectors are carried by shafts 7 which are mounted in lateral brackets on the standard and driven by bevel and chain gearing from the shaft s. In operation a film is inserted in one of the projectors behind which the lamp is arranged and the motor started, a flexible connexion between the lamp and the standard r serving to bring the appropriate driving clutches into engagement. While this film is passing through the one projector, a second film is inserted in the other projector so that the lamp and driving-mechanism can be changed over as soon as necessary.
