Cylinders, pipes for.-The cylinders of radial or revolving cylinder engines are divided into groups, and each group is supplied by a separate induction pipe, the grouping being such that the induction strokes of two cylinders of a group do not overlap. The induction pipes are annular and may be twisted into a spiral, or an annular chamber A may be divided into compartments by a spiral F. Three compartments C4, D4, E4 are shown and are supplied from carburettors C5, D5, E5 respectively, while branch pipes C1, D1, E1, C2, D2, E2, C3, D3, E3 lead from them to the cylinders.
