Heating by electricity. - In an immersion heater provided with disc-shaped electrodes 1 mounted on rod-like conductors 8 and wherein adjacent electrodes are connected to dissimilar poles, the ends of the conductors are threaded and each electrode is secured thereto by two nuts one on each side of the electrodes. The electrodes are arranged in a casing 18 having a tubular extension 12 with a cap 16. The casing is fitted with a cover plate 15 and arcuate members 17 for supporting the electrodes.
