Lateral-splash guards comprise an annular disc a of rubber or the like mounted in an annular groove b1 in a rental rim b secured at the side of the main rim of the wheel. The disc a is loose and free to move in its rim b so as to close in the space at the side of the lower part of the tyre and intercept splashes.
