Feeding webs.-In a machine for wrapping loaves &c., paper 25 is fed from a roll 26 by a roller 24 driven by a chain from a wheel 21 on a shaft 12, and cooperating with a pressure roller 27, which mav also be driven. The wheel 21 carries a star wheel 20 which is engaged by pins 18 on a disc 16. The pins 18 are seven in number and are spaced apart at distances corresponding to one-tenth of a complete rotation. leaving a gap which provides for a halt between the periods of feeding.
