Rack stands.-A folding stand comprises two or more trays 10, 11 hinged to links 12, 13 so arranged that as the stand is folded the trays remain parallel to one another. The base of the stand is formed either by the lowermost tray or bv extension of the links. The links 12 are, extended, bent over, and joined by a handle 15 so arranged that when in the upright position it is over the centre of gravity of the stand. The trays are arranged so that when in the folded position they lie edge to edge and may be loaded in that position and then extended for carrying. The stand may be locked in the upright position either by means of hinged links 16, Fig. 1, or bv means of slotted links 18, Fig. 4, engaging a pin 20 on the upright 12. Links 17, Fig. 1, may be hinged to the trays 10, 11 either in addition to or instead of the links 13. Specification 1646/99 is referred to.
