An improved strainer for tea, coffee and like pots

Pots.-A strainer for insertion in the spout of a tea, coffee, or like pot comprises a conical or trumpetshaped portion a carrying a perforated tube or a wire or open-work cage b, and a filter bag c surrounding the cage band having a thickened end c' fitting round portion a and forming a tight joint between portion a and the interior of the spout. The bag c may be formed by folding up a piece of material at one end and stitching it in the folded position, and then stitching the material into bag form, the folded portion forming the thickened end c1.
