Process for washing or cleaning wools, soiled fabrics or other fibrous materials

In washing and cleaning wools, soiled fabrics, and other fibrous materials, by means of suint-containing detersive agents, anti-putrefactive agents, such as thymol, chloroform, or potassium cyanide, are added to the liquors to prevent fermentation. The invention is specially applicable to the washing of wool in bulk with suint, and the process may be applied in connection with substantially continuous washing processes of the kind described in Specification 221,521. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) mentions also the application of the invention to the washing of silk. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
