Fruit, gathering. -A fruit gatherer of the type in which a container is provided with fruit-detaching prongs projecting over its mouth has the prongs 5, 6 set at an outward inclination from the plane of the mouth to facilitate the fall of the fruit into the container 4. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the prongs extend completely round the shaft 3, the fruit falling into the basin formed by the lower prongs 10. These lower prongs may be fitted round the rim of a basket arranged round the shaft.
