262,384. Krupp Germaniawerft Akt.- Ges., F. Dec. 3, 1925, [Convention date]. Regulating delivery by opening suction valves. -Two-stroke engines used for propulsion of ships and vehicles are provided with a safety governor which cuts out the engine temporarily on a predetermined speed being exceeded and comprises a spring-loaded piston subject to the pressure of scavenging air, which pressure is dependent on the engine speed, movement of the piston being utilized to cut off the fuel. Scavenging air is led at C to the cylinder B and acts on the piston A against the spring D. At a predetermined pressure, the piston moves down and through the lever E actuates the tappet g1 of the fuel pump suction valve. Where a corresponding control for the inlet of scavenging air is available, the lever E may be connected therewith.
