Statuary.-The projecting parts of wax figures are reinforced by means of a core of twisted or corded fibres of animal, vegetable, or mineral material, so that they will yield slightly to pressure without breaking. Cotton, hemp, hair, wool, silk, paper, and flexible wire are mentioned as suitable fibres.
