Lay-figures.-An arm for lay-figures comprises a wire-wound core a extending from the wrist to the upper limit of the arm, an envelope b of fabric stretched tightly over the core and attached thereto at the upper end a11, and a plastic covering c moulded on the covered core. Pins e, Fig. 3, are positioned by screws h to centre and support the core in the mould during the moulding process. Pierced metal plates i distribute the pressure of the pins. Finally the inner surface of the arm is coated or painted with gypsum, putty, or the like.
