Pneumatic conveyers.-A venturi-shaped nozzle c for the conveying medium surrounds the outlet nozzle b of the hopper a for the material. The nozzle c is connected by flanges d, e to the air supply pipe f and the conveying pipe g, respectively. The nozzle b is attached to the nozzle c by a flange h which may be adjustable. Alternatively adjustment may be effected by packing washers b1. A valve j i is provided between the hopper and nozzle. Additional air is admitted through a nozzle m which is adjusted by packing m1. A pressure-balance pipe o with or without a valve p may be provided to prevent any tendency to blow back into the hopper. The flange e may be coupled to the pipe g by a section of piping made in accordance with Specification 281,811.
