[Class 123 (i).] In a liquid level indicator in which the movements of a float are transmitted through a flexible element 6 in a casing 7 of the Bowden type, the length of the casing is adjusted by means of a tubular element 9 which screws upon the casing and is then locked in its adjusted position by a nut 13 against a collar 12 on a fixed member 8. The end of the element 6 is attached directly to a pointer 5, Fig. 2. In a modification, Fig. 4, the part 9 is secured against longitudinal movement by a U-shaped key 16, and against rotary movement by a pin 17 engaging in one of the notches of a toothed crown 18 on the fixed member 8. In another modification, Fig. 8 (not shown), flanges on the parts 8, 9 are secured together by a split pin, in another form, Fig. 6 (not shown), the part 9 is secured on the flexible casing by a set-screw, and in Fig. 7 (not shown), the part 9 is split longitudinally and then clamped on the flexible casing. In another form, Fig. 13, the part 9 is provided with flexible prongs 28 the ends of which engage in the fixed part 8 and are secured by a ring 32 sliding over the prongs.
