PICT:0395433/III/1 PICT:0395433/III/2 The stationary casing 1 of a rotary drycleaning machine is provided with a longitudinally extending sump 16 in which an electric heating unit is detachably secured. When the heater is removed the aperture in the sump in which the heater was screwed serves as a draw-off and a plug therefor may be provided. The clothes receptacle 2 is provided with lifters 3 formed by bending in the peripheral wall of the receptacle, such lifters being either symmetrical or unsymmetrical and in the latter case they are arranged in two series facing in opposite directions, as shown in Fig. 4. The receptacle may be formed with a flat portion 2a, as in Fig. 3 so that when this portion is in its lowest position it is above the normal level of liquid in the stationary casing, thereby facilitating the draining of articles resting thereon.
