[Class 40 (iv).] A portable gramophone, radio-gramophone or wireless receiving-set includes a box 16 having a hinged lid 1 and a soundamplifying horn of substantially exponential form, the walls of the outlet end of which include the lid 1 or a lining thereof and two foldable screens 7 extending, when the lid is in its raised position, between the lid and the box, the lower end 11 of the horn being accommodated within the box. The front portion 4 of the box hinges down and the top of the box is formed by a curved partition 10. The side screens may be made up of sliding sections and the various parts may be made of wood, metal or Bakelite.
