[Class 141.] In a hook-andeye fastening-strip, the eye carrying strip 4 to which the base 1a of the eyes are attached at 13 is folded on itself, as shown, to present a doubledover edge 8 adjacent the hook engaging part 1b of the eye. The part 1b is fastened down to the folded edge 8 only at its ends 11 and 12. The edge 8, is stitched to the underlying flap 7 between the fastening elements leaving the intermediate part free therefrom. The stitching at 101 passes clear of the folded edge thereby providing a pocket 13a for the hook element to rest in when the eye is engaged thereby. A doubled-over covering strip 6 is employed.
