413,618. Gill - boxes. GEGAUFF, C., 78, Rue de Verdun, Mulhouse, France. Oct. 10, 1932, No. 28231. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 20, 1932]. [Class 120 (i).] In an intersecting gill-box the resilient vertical guide bars 25, 34, Fig. 2, which prevent the gill bars or fallers from tilting forwards before reaching the end of their feed movement towards the drawing rollers 54, bear directly on the fallers 1, 2 .. in the neighbourhood of the drawing rollers exerting thereon a pressure opposing their feed movement and capable of preventing them from tilting forwards. The ends 26, 35 of the guides do not engage the fixed plate 36, 37 as is usual, Figs 6a and 6b, but are disposed laterally thereof, Fig. 5b, and are shaped to engage the upper edges of the gill bars as soon as the bar ends 49 occupy the recesses 48, Fig. 4, at the end of each feed screw, the guide giving against the tension of its loading spring as the faller bar completes its traverse but maintaining the bar vertical throughout.
