433,301. Heated drying-racks. LANBAR, Ltd., and LANGSTONE, C. J., 170, Stratford Road, Birmingham. Feb. 7, 1934, No. 3973. [Class 52 (v)] A heated towel rail or rack comprises a heated tubular member 1 having a frame member 8, 8a secured to each end to support a plurality of rails 11 in a substantially horzontal position above the member 1 to form a shelf. The U-shaped frame members 8 have forked lower ends fitting over pins 7 secured in arms 6 forming part of the end caps 3 of the heated tubular member 1. The rectangular frame carrying the rails 11 is pivoted to the members 8a by trunnions 9 projecting from its side members 10 and may lie in a horizontal plane supported by lugs 12 on the limbs 8a or may be tilted to the position shown in broken lines in Fig. 3 being held in this position by stop 13 on the members 10 engaging with stop pegs 14 on the frames 8. The heating elements may comprise two coils 15 symmetrically arranged in the tube 1 each coil passing through bossed holes in the porcelain or other insulating discs 16 which are supported on a central rod carried by mica or like discs 18. The end caps 3 may be secured to wall brackets 2 as shown.
