O i l and spirit stoves. - An apparatus for heating liquids, warming rooms, and drying or warming clothes, which is particularly applicable to baths, consists of a geyser mounted on a reflecting open casing containing an adjustable burner in which the vapour of methylated spirits is burnt. The water, which enters the outer space a' at the base of the water heater, passes successively through the concentric annular spaces to a hollow lid d, from which a pipe e leads to within a hollow pan f. This pan, which serves to collect the water of condensation, is provided with the outlet pipe E of the apparatus, while a pipe h conveys the water of condensation to a gutter x. The annular spaces have extensions, which cause the products of combustion to pass alternately above and below the spaces on their way to a central vent pipe. A methylated-spirit reservoir c', having a concave perforated top, is mounted above a spirit burner e6 in a frame c which slides between two guides o in the casing. The vapour of the spirit from the reservoir c is ignited by the flame of the burner c6 passing through a central opening m. A hook p, with which engages the pipe leading from a filling- nozzle c' to the reservoir, serves to hold the burner in its uppermost position. An eyelet q, fixed to the outside of the reflecting casing, supports rods which may carry clothes or the like.
