[Class 141] The back 6 of a corset of fabric, elastic or rubber is formed in two parts joined together and provided in their adjacent edges with slits 4 flexibly covered, and the lower part of the corset is secured knicker-like round the legs of the wearer. In one form, Fig. 8, straps 1 on the centre of the back part pass between the legs and are fastened, e.g. by a hook and eye, to corresponding straps on the front part 5. In another form, Fig. 11, a lace or ribbon 15 mounted in a housing 16 on the inside or the outside of the back part passes through an eyelet 18 and is tied on the outside of the leg to a lace or ribbon 20 on the front part. The front part has slits covered by flexible material 11, 12. The corset is fastened by lacing 9 or fasteners 8.
