[Class 141] An undergarment comprises a belt portion A, Fig. 1, and a back-covering portion B made in one or more pieces from knitted or other fabric, the belt-portion being divided and secured round the waist by fastenings 2, 3, while the back portion has parts 4 which extend over the shoulders and to which are connected tapes or straps 5, which may be secured to the back portion or stitched, as at 6, to the belt. Alternatively, the straps 5 may be detachably secured to the belt, and may be adjustable. When the garment is made from a rib-knitted fabric, the upper and lower areas 8, 9, Fig. 2, and the rear part al of the belt portion may be of closer knit than the central area 10 and the back portion B.
