[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Dec. 20, 1938.] [Class 37] [Also in Group XL] The measurement of electric radiations, for example, the leakage fields in R÷ntgen operating rooms, wherein an ionization chamber and parallel-connected condenser are charged and exposed to the radiation, consists in an arrangement whereby the condenser can be removed from the ionization chamber and connected separately to the measuring instrument. An arrangement in which the condenser is an integral part of the ionization chamber is described but forms no part of the invention In Fig. 2, the electrodes 2, 3 of an air condenser are connected respectively to the electrodes 1, 5 of an ionization chamber, an extension .9 on electrodes 2 engaging the inner electrode, and an extension 4SP1/SP of the casing electrodes 3 engaging an extension 5SP1/SP of the outer electrode. In Fig. 3, the inner electrode 1 of the ionization chamber is formed rigidly with the condenser which is of the rolled type, one layer connecting with the electrode 1 and the other with the metal cover 12. The coupling on the measuring instrument is similar to that on the ionization chamber.
