Improvements in film speed stabilising devices for sound record films

[Class 122 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] For controlling the speed. of a sound-film, the shaft of a drum 12 around which the film passes, and which is driven solely by the film, carries a fly-wheel comprising a casing 1 having no internal mechanical bearings or loose parts and containing a viscous liquid. The casing, which may be made of light material, may contain a perforated partition 6. Several examples of suitable viscous liquids, of high specific gravity, are given.
